Vision of KIOM

Korean Oriental medicine as an established scientific discipline is the vision of the Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine. The Institute considers Oriental medicine an important part of the biotechnology industry in the 21st century. It lays out mid and long-term research plans to establish the scientific status of Oriental medicine and pushes forward the commercialization of the findings of Oriental medicine R&D.
